Moto3 race at Sachsenring: Finsterbusch takes 21st place in front of a home crowd

FINSTERBUSCH_fwkon_19v3614A crowd of 205,000 enthusiastic fans, a big party and a reasonably decent result: The eighth race of the Moto3 World Championship “at home” at Sachsenring did not really go according to plan for Germany’s rider Toni Finsterbusch. At the Grand Prix of Germany on Sunday the 20-year old from Saxony managed to move up some places during the race with his Kalex, eventually settling for a 21stplace finish. Spaniards Alex Rins (1), Luis Salom (2) and Maverick Vinales (3), all on KTM, again earned the top podium finishes.

Finsterbusch of the Kiefer Racing Team commented the “home race” accordingly: “The atmosphere was just amazing, the Sachsenring absolutely rocks. The race itself was really fine, even though the course of the race was tough and a bit unspectacular. Unfortunately I did not manage to catch up to the group in front of me. And there was a big gap behind me – so in the end I just had to hold on to 21st place.”
